AdSense CPA Beta a dud?

A post at ABW from a beta tester, the email the received from Google says:

Thanks for participating in the AdSense Cost-Per-Action test. We'd like to announce that we're ending this phase of the beta. Therefore, please take down any CPA ads that you are currently hosting as there won't be any further support.
