Google Print open for business
This is great news for anyone already using AdWords that wish to venture into print advertising. The news of this, published at the Inside Adwords blog, had an interesting statistic:
Even with the growth of online news sites, newspapers are still a leading source of information for Americans. In fact, over the course of a typical week, nearly 3 out of 4 adults (115 million) in the top 50 markets read a copy of a daily or Sunday newspaper (Scarborough Research USA, Release 2, 2006)That's right, to help promote Google Print, Google have used a statistic from 1 year ago, but if it has come from the same set of data as this one (Scarborough Research USA, Release 2, 2006), the data is actually from late 2004 to late 2005, meaning that on average the statistic is 2.5 years old - an eternity in internet time.
My question is, why did they not use a more recent version of the same statistics - Scarborough Research Publishes Newspaper Audience Ratings Report - April 24, 2007?
