Google Pulls Video Rentals & Sales

Just like Google Answers, the side of Google Video where consumers pay to own/rent commercial video offerings is closing down. Just like Google Answers, it probably made money, but not enough, and Google will want to use those staff elsewhere on other experiments.

I hope the future of the web doesn't involve too many short-term experiments - because people will tire of getting used to service only to find it closing down. This might be ok for one-trick ponies, but if Google pulls too many experiments, people will stop trying out the latest offerings....
